Sharar's displaced fund

Donation protected
As most of you know the Sharar's have had a very difficult 2017. We continue to pray for Ryan and support him in his battle with Leukemia. He is a true warrior and has an amazing spirit as he fights this horrible disease.

Many of us have followed the devastation of Hurricane Harvey and can't begin to imagine the difficulties many are going through right now. Unfortunately, the Sharar's have been affected by this as well. Last week they were evacuated by boat after their downstairs was flooded with three feet of water. Although they saved what they could everything downstairs was completely destroyed.

Thankfully they are safe and staying with friends who have graciously opened their home to them. The damage to their home was significant. The downstairs will have to be completely renovated which is estimated to take 4-6 months. In addition to the damage they lost clothes, food, and personal items that will need to be replaced.

When I spoke to Eric he remained as positive as anyone could be. He spoke of people who have it worse than they do. He expressed concern for the people of Louisiana as the storm moves their way. We spoke of Ryan's treatment which is currently on hold as they are unable to get to the hospital.  This is a major setback and has caused anxiety and frustration for Ryan. Their vehicles are inoperable so it makes it impossible to get Ryan to needed appointments.

The Sharar's will be displaced from their home for the next 4-6 months. Unfortunately, Ryan's sanctuary was his home and a place of comfort. It has been taken from him at the worst time.

Eric and I have been friends for almost 30 years. Many of us would like to help the Sharar's and feel helpless as we see them go through this devastating time. Living in Arizona we are not able to bring them food, take them clothes, or open our doors for them to stay with us. During the next few months, they will do their best to rebuild the house, their lives and resume Ryan's treatment, however, there will be many expenses along the way that won't be reimbursable through insurance,

Please consider donating to the Sharar's to help replace clothing, food, and living expenses caused by this terrible disaster. This family should not endure any further hardship.  All of the donations this page gets will go directly to the Sharar's for them to use during the next few months.

Sometimes tragedy like Hurricane Harvey puts things in perspective for us. We all want to contribute something to help the victims of this devastation. Here is an opportunity to help an amazing family who has been dealt a tough hand.  This fund will allow the Sharar family to focus on finishing Ryan's treatment and getting him free of this terrible disease, without the worry of financial stresses. I encourage any of you who are able to donate money please do so. If you cannot, please send prayers. The Sharar family will remain strong no matter what, but with your contribution, it will lighten the burden of the stresses that are likely to come.

Please donate what you can and God Bless. The funds will go directly to the Sharar's for withdrawal.
