Shannon has lived her entire adult life as the only source (primarily) for three daughters (one only 14) and one son.
She now has multiple mylemona and is desperately trying to save her life. Without any funds (too ill to work) and too little or non-existant medical coverage she struggles to find grocery, gas or spending money, let alone treatments for cancer.
There are many programs designed to target this cancer but without funding Shannon (like most of us) is now that person you always hear about and think can never be you.
