Shanna's new kidney

After a long 3 year wait Shanna was recently honored with a double kidney transplant on July 18th. While everything has been going as perfect as she could hope for, she has hit a very expensive wall.
She started to develop a low grade fever, which in itself isnt so unusual, that is until at a procedure to remove the stints used to help the new kidney flow had to be removed. it was discovered she has a very nasty infection has developed in her incision area.
Shanna's medical team had to reopen the site, drain it and pack it with gause keeping the site open. This has to be professional cleaned several times a day with a special machine.
The machine runs $1000 a month plus the packs and in home health care another $490 a week as her out of pocket expense after her insurance. She has been told it will be 12 weeks of treatments to fight this infection due to the immune supression medicines she has to take for the kidney transplant to not be rejected.
She looked at purchasing her own machine but her immune system will not let her gamble with it's sterility.
She already has had to pay out over $20,000 and remortgage her home to partially help with the transplant itself. This beautiful soul is in need.
Shanna is one of the kindest people I know and love. In our family her calm manner and strength of heart has earned her the title of The Peacemaker. She is the first to lend a hand or pocket book to those in need amd now our peacemaker is in need of help herself.
Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated by her and her family.
The stress she is under right now with this 12 week unforseen event is taking its toll.
