My name is ReAnna,
For the past few years my sister Shania has been fighting her battle with Breast Cancer. We have been told by medical professionals her body is no longer able to handle her Chemo treatments and she is being transferred to an Inpatient hospice. As my family and I prepare for this tragic loss, we are looking for assistance to help cover memorial costs and provide any extra funds that we may receive to go to her 6 children that will be making a move down to Florida with my mom (their grandmother) once she passes. This has been extremely difficult for my family and we ask for prayers during this time. Anything helps. Thank you
My sister found out she had Breast Cancer on her 40th birthday. She was diagnosed with stage 3 at the time. According to the American Cancer Society, when breast cancer is detected early, and is in the localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%. Early detection includes scheduling regular clinical breast exams and mammograms. There is often a fear around receiving a mammogram. However, it is important for women younger or older to have this done. I am putting a lot of emphasis on this topic because early detection could have prolonged, if not saved, my sister's life. Encourage your loved ones to keep up with their health.
