Hello there!
Shane's Place for Paws is an up and coming doggy day care & potential foster program for small breeds and small animals. Your contribution will help continue toward being licensed and bonded, and be able to establish a location in the East Bay Area. We will help surrendered animals find new homes, as well as continue giving the 5 star service for day care and boarding. One day it would be great to open an online store, too!
We need to build, & what we need is marketing, updated software, more stock, & dream to one day in the next few years have our own location where an employee is with all companions 24/7.

Shane became homeless shortly after his Grandmother, who was his guardian, died in 2011. He found odd jobs such as cleaning, organizing homes, & dog watching & dog walking. He would take multiple dogs on walks & to dog parks. It was there he noticed there needed to be a new kind of day care. A place where small breed dogs feel safe without other larger animals giving them anxiety. A large amount of dogs are from a shelter. Most shelter dogs, especially small breeds, can have major anxieties. Anxieties like these can be triggered with a larger dog, even if that larger dog is a gentle giant.
Shane got a job at a hotel, while part time walking dogs. He got on his feet & from there nothing has stopped him. He now has been with his partner for over 5 years & together they run Shane's Place for Paws.
It now has evolved into an at home day care sanctuary for small breed dogs, & still we
have a long way to go! Shane strives to never be homeless again, while doing something that serves his community as well as saves the lives on animals.
