Standing Strong with Shane
Shane and Kristi Ellsworth are a loving, hard working couple. They met right after high school as first loves and got married fifteen yeas ago. After three years they had their first child Seth. Shane had been working in the steel industry as a 1st class welder/fitter. They were blessed with Wyatt James then Chloe who are both three years apart. Kristi started feeling ill after Wyatt's birth. It was then their lives changed forever.
Kristi began having migraines then seizures. After multiple diagnosis and treatments doctors found the occipital holes in her skull were too large, allowing her brain to fall back and rest on the brain stem. She had brain surgery last year and is still going through rehabilitation. At 40 years old, Krisiti has regained her speech and is able to get around with the assistance of a walker. Several months ago, she had emergency stomach surgery to save her life. They have insurance but it doesn't cover all the expenses. They owe well over $5000 for this alone.
Now, Shane was recently diagnosed with a tumor the size of a baseball on the back of his femur. The doctors need to quickly remove this but he has to work and take care of Kristi and their kids so he hasn't taken the time off to get this procedure done. Insurance will not cover enough to feed his family, let alone take care of all the household expenses.
This past Friday, on May 26, 2017, they discovered 8 more tumors in Shane’s intestinal area through a PET scan. He is the sole provider for his family of 5. Kristi has applied for disability but was denied. She worked up until having her 2nd child. They are grateful for the communities support and are in dire need of help.
Shane is a strong, proud man who works hard to take care of his family. They have already experienced so many great hardships, please help them come through this one.
