<div>Our beloved friend, Shane Davis, passed away suddenly at the end of January 2025. We are gutted by his loss.

<div>The definition of a larger-than-life character, Shane was kind, generous and gregarious, always quick with a smile and a joke - and even quicker to make friends, of which he had legion. Gone decades too soon, he was a light that brightened many lives, and will never be forgotten.
</div>

<div>Of his many interests, there was <em>nothing</em> Shane loved more than spending time with his two young daughters - especially at the hockey rink. While his passing leaves a massive void for many, none have been, or will be, more effected than these two girls.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As such, Shane's "Toronto Crew", with the support of family, are suggesting <strong>two</strong> ways in which people may honour Shane and "embiggen" his legacy (yes, one of his many interests was arcane Simpsons references):

<li><strong>Go Fund Me:</strong> contribute to this <strong>Go Fund Me</strong> - the proceeds of which will be directed to <strong>education funds / funding for Shane's two daughters</strong>, initially via RESP contributions/top-ups, and thereafter in a manner which prioritizes education and related costs; and/or

<li><strong>Grindstone Award Foundation:</strong> contribute to the <strong>Grindstone Award Foundation</strong>, where a special <strong>Shane Davis Memorial Fund</strong> has been established. Donations to Grindstone are awarded as grants to young girls who have a desire to play hockey but are unable to for financial reasons.
