<div>With the families permission I am setting up this go fund me to try to raise money towards medical expenses Gwyn Elward has shockingly accrued due to the refusal of their insurance company paying out.

<div>Two days into their holiday to Greece, Gwyn who is 73 was taken ill and had to be seen by a Doctor, he was then admitted into ICU with heart failure. He was transferred after 4 days to Athens where him and his wife Rosalind had to pay a £5000 deposit to the hospital as well as travel and accommodation expenses for Rosalind to stay.

<div>During Gwyn’s stay in hospital there he began hallucinating, it was discovered on his return to the UK that he had contracted legionnaires disease and pneumonia. 
</div>

<div>Disgracefully family members had to arrange flights home due to the threat of arrest due to the demand for  nearly £40,000 medical expenses. 
</div>

<div>It has since been discovered that although an insurance premium of £240 was paid beforehand and all questions were answered honestly, the insurance company has diabolically found a clause and are refusing to pay the medical bill. 
</div>

<div>Gwyn was hospitalised for a further two weeks on his return, the extra pressure of demands for £38,000 is certainly not needed currently. It’s abhorrent that insurance was paid for and now they are refusing to pay the medical bill. 
</div>

<div>Gwyn and Rosalind have worked all their lives and are decent people who really don’t deserve this. This current time should be spent assisting Gwyn’s recovery and not be concerned how they are going to pay such a hefty bill when they at this time of their lives should be enjoying retirement. 
</div>
