Shakespeare's Wanderers Twelfth Night Production

Who are we?

We’re an outdoor touring theatre company called Shakespeare’s Wanderers, which is run by Mark Reed. We’re passionate about creating inventive, bright and entertaining shows for audiences of all ages. We believe that Shakespeare is for everyone, and we’re excited about creating that unique magical feel this summer that only outdoor theatre brings!

What’s this all about?

We planned to put on Twelfth Night last year, but we sadly had to cancel the show due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now we’re very excited to bring it to audiences this July who’ve been starving for a bit of fun and culture! It’s a wonderful play, and our lively new take on Shakespeare's beloved comedy will take audiences back to the roaring twenties for an evening of romance, fun and mischief.

Unfortunately, putting on a great production like this is not cheap. There are so many different costs involved, and our number one priority is always to pay the passionate, talented, hard-working and dedicated creative team behind the show exactly what they deserve. We could raise our ticket prices, but then we might get smaller audiences and end up back at square one. Plus, we think theatre should be for everyone, so we price our tickets fairly to ensure our productions are accessible to the broadest group of people.

So, that’s where (we hope) you can help us out…

What can I do?

You can donate to this crowdfunding page to help us make this show possible. No matter what we raise, the show will go on, but your generosity will help us produce the best show possible and support the wonderful creative team behind it. We have a way to go to reach our target of £3,000, so we would be eternally grateful for anything you could spare. Your donation could go towards the following:

• Paying the actors

• Paying the director

• Paying the stage manager

• Paying the producer

• Venue hire

• Marketing materials and social media advertisement

• Costumes

• Vocal coach

• Lighting hire

• Set build and materials

• Travel costs and accommodation

• Insurance

• Website

• Admin and sundries

If you can’t afford to donate, but would like to help in another way, please share our crowdfunding page with others. Tell your friends and family about our shows and if you’d like to be involved with us in some other way, feel free to drop us an e-mail . We’d love to hear from you!

What will I get in return when I donate?

We will be thanking all our wonderful funders for their generosity in our programme for our shows at St. George's Gardens, and we will give an extra special thank you for the following donations:

  • For donations of £50 we will give our amazing funders one ticket to any of our Bloomsbury shows, and a signed poster from all the cast and crew involved.
  • For donations of £100 we will be providing our wonderful funders with two tickets to our Bloomsbury shows, and a signed poster from all the cast & crew involved.
