Keeping Shakespeare Safe and Sassy

Tax deductible
The Rude Mechanicals are bringing Shakespeare back to the people, by producing fun, sassy, and exciting productions of the Bard's work.

As we continue to grow as a company, and broaden our list of Shakespeare's canon, there are some special supplies we need to make sure our actors are safe and our audiences receive the highest quality production possible.

We are presenting MACBETH this fall, in all its Scottish glory, including kilts, beards, and broadswords. The cast has been working hard on stage combat and fight choreography with stage weaponry, to really bring the story of this tragedy alive. It is also our hope to produce more tragedies and history plays in the near future, where stage weaponry and a safe surface to perform fight choreography can take place.

We are hoping to raise enough funds to purchase gym mat flooring (1/4 inch thick rubber flooring, as is used in Crossfit gyms, etc.) and certified stage weaponry to keep our actors safe and our shows sassy for the audience. The gym mat flooring can be moved to different performance spaces, and both the flooring and stage weaponry will be used for many, many shows as our company continues to grow.

We appreciate your consideration in donating to a great cause, which in turn will help increase an appreciation for Shakespeare for our entire Tri-Cities/Eastern Washington community.

Huzzah! And thank you!
