Shakespeare in Kosovo
Tax deductible
Theater fostering friendships between youth, promoting reconciliation, confidence and voice.
Youth Bridge Global, in collaboration with TOKA (a youth educational non-profit based in Kosovo) is planning a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream this upcoming summer in Pristina, Kosovo.
YBG's Co-Director, Andrew Garrod, is a prize-winning director of student Shakespearian productions in his adopted country of Canada, and he has directed productions of Shakespeare also in the Marshall Islands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in Rwanda. His earlier achievements have been written up in leading newspapers in England, the US, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Rwanda.
In the past, fundraising for the projects owed greatly to the efforts of the director and the philanthropy of several YBG friends. After two successful crowdfunding campaigns in '14 and '16, we are once again making our enthusiastic plea over the inter webs! The money raised through this GoFundMe campaign will fund A Midsummer Night's Dream and possible YBG future projects:
Set design, construction and materials
Costume design and materials
Props
Stage and lighting crew
Programs and Posters
We are a small 501(c) non-profit corporation comprised of teachers and volunteers and produce these wonderful and fulfilling projects with our own money and 100% of our donations. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!
