Shakera’s Story
Please help us to support our beloved Friend as she fights the biggest fight of her life- battling Sickle Cell Anemia.
Shakera has been through so much in the past months, BUT through it all she never complains or gives up. That winning smile of hers always lights up the room and she has the most positive attitude about pushing on through this battle.
With each crisis Shakera must take time off work for appointments, blood transfusions and testing; she must work overtime or extra hours to make up for days missed. Doing this can and has taken a toll on her health and trying to recovery is a daily struggle which prolongs her getting better.
We are asking you to consider contributing to her this GoFundMe effort to help pay for Shakera’s medical expenses so that Shakera can focus on getting better!
Shakera does so much for others-any amount that you feel so moved to give will help in this effort and would be greatly appreciated beyond measure and more than words could ever express!!!
Presently Shakera is unable to come back to work due to this illness-she will be hospitalized for the next few weeks.
Through all this, Shakera has even found time to continue her education. She is currently attending CCAC- For a degree in Nursing.
She is also helping others through her school-Shakera and a classmate held a teddy bear drive to collect Teddy Bears for needy children. Her nick name for some is Shakera Beara
