Julius Shaifer, owner of Camarillo-based Shaifer’s Kitchen, a classic beach food inspired food truck, grew up in Ventura County and gained his love for cooking from his grandmother, who, according to Shaifer, made every meal a four-course meal. “Some of my best experiences in life include sitting at a table with family and friends and having a great meal! That’s exactly what I’m trying to do, Give those same experiences to people in the community. I definitely see people enjoying themselves when they try my food!”

Shaifer’s food truck menu includes the Lazy Beach Pineapple Bowl, made with steak, chicken, shrimp, sautéed veggies, and rice. The Lazy Beach Street Taco, made with chicken, beef, shrimp, lobster or veggie’s sourced from local farmers, and the Fresh Catch from the Ventura Harbor. The Lazy Beach Shrimp Basket, The Lazy Beach Southwest Tri-Tip Sammie, made with freshly toasted sourdough bread, Grade A tri-tip, served with freshly made Pico and chips. All items on the menu are made with locally grown organic ingredients and according to Shaifer. “prepared with love and swag!” 
 
The process of opening my new business offered some challenges. But all of the hard work has been one of the best decisions of my life.  
My grand opening officially happened in late November 2019, and I have managed to stay open during the shutdown with nearly a full menu. But now as many of you know we are now in a second wave of County restrictions.

With a humble heart I am reaching out to all of you for financial assistance.  Asking for assistance is not something I would normally do however these are very challenging times. Any amount of support will go a long way in helping to cover operating costs, and allow me to remain open during and after the pandemic.
