Shadwell Playground Fundraising Campaign
Are you a regular visitor to Shadwell Playground? Do you think the park is in desperate need of refurbishment and repair? Or perhaps you want a local park that isn't so muddy and caters for everyone in your family whether they are toddlers, school children, teens or adults? Well here is your chance to help make this happen!
A small committee of determined residents have volunteered their time in the last couple of years to initiate The Shadwell Playground Campaign, a project aimed at raising funds to refurbish the park in Shadwell.
The committee has been working in collaboration with Leeds City Council on the development of a scheme designed to improve the play area, which is in a state of disrepair, and address the drainage issue associated with the football pitch. The total cost of the proposed scheme is around £120,000.
We are pleased to advise that, despite a challenging year, the committee has already raised just over £100,000 to realise the plans so we are a significant way to making them a reality.
We are now asking local businesses and residents for donations to help us achieve the total so the work can begin this summer.
Please give whatever you can to see this amazing space in Shadwell rejuvenated and become a better community space for existing and future residents of the local community.

There is also a chance to donate and buy benches and tables with personalised plaques for large donations of £800+ please do get in touch regarding options.
The park is an amazing space and thanks to local residents who worked hard to install what is there now, but now over 25 years old the park needs updating and repairing and with your help we can do exactly that and more.
