Please join us as we 'KNOCK OUT THE CLOT' at SHADOWBOX to raise funds and awareness for Blood Clots – today’s most under-recognized public health crisis affecting over 900,000 people and killing over 300,000 annually, taking more lives each year than opioids, AIDS, breast cancer, and motor vehicle crashes combined.
You’ll be led by Rad Lopez, one of Shadowbox’s empowering, boxing-trained instructors - thorough instruction paired with high-energy music will motivate you throughout the 45 minute meditative boxing workout class. No experience necessary.
Location: SHADOWBOX , 28 W 20th (btwn 5th & 6th avenue)
Class starts at 7:45 PM
Post class enjoy bites, beverages, music & Wellness Package raffle draw
All boxing gear will be provided, please bring workout shoes and be ready to sweat

Personal message from Christine, Nicole & Ava Bloom
In 2003, we lost our dad, David Bloom, an NBC News correspondent, to a blood clot while he was an embedded journalist covering the Iraq war.
After his death, our mom, Melanie Bloom-McNulty, became active in spreading awareness, serving as the national spokesperson to educate Americans about the dangers of deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) and its often fatal complication, pulmonary embolism (PE), better known simply as blood clots.
All ages, ethnicities, and both men and women are equally impacted, yet most people are unaware of this devastating yet preventable disease. For many years, our mom’s efforts focused primarily on raising awareness, but she has since partnered with the NATF to help raise funds for critical and life-saving advances in research and treatment, as DVT prevention does not receive the funding or the attention that it warrants.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the North American Thrombosis Forum .
NATF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to meeting the unmet needs and issues related to blood clots and cardiovascular diseases. Its goal is to improve patient care, outcomes, and public health by advancing thrombosis research and education.
