Support those affected by the Farmington Explosion

On Monday September 16th, 2019, a blast in Farmington, Maine destroyed a two-story building housing an organization that serves people with disabilities. Capt. Michael Bell, 68, a 30-year member of the Farmington Fire Department, died in the blast. Larry Lord and four firefighters were critically injured in the blast, which also damaged several neighboring buildings. There are 30 or so people/families who can no longer go home due to the blast effects to their homes. They are getting help on temporary shelter and will hopefully be getting help on new living quarters. Insurance will help some of the property damage for a lot of these places, but it will not replace everything else damaged, loss of time from work and many other things.

This gofundme is to help any of those in the affected by  the Farmington explosion who will need help in the coming days, months or years!

Who we are? We are a local music group who decided to step up to the challenge of creating a fundraising event for the community. Our event will take place on Saturday October 19th, 2019 at the Bluffs Campground and Mini Golf in Jay, Maine. 100% of proceeds go to those affected by this explosion. We have put together a great event, and it will be posted in here for all to check out, and join if you can!

The people of this community will feel the effects of this tragic event for a long time, and our goal is to try and soften the blow.
