SGL Family Supports Khalil

Khalil Sutton is a student-athlete at the School for Global Leaders. He is always positive, willing to lend a smile and a hand, and shows integrity both on and off the basketball courts. Sadly, Khalil lost his mother this weekend to her battle with cancer. Koquita Ellis-Sutton is survived by her four sons, who loved her and cared for her greatly until her last breath. As they are all young men, this is a family who needs our love and support, as they were not financially or emotionally ready to lose their mom. Khalil now more than ever needs to see the love and support of others. We are looking to help ease the burden of funeral costs, as well as put money aside for Khalil's future education.

Through conversations with Khalil and his mom over the last few months, it was her wish that Khalil further his education at a private high school, and continue onto college following. With the money we raise, we will hopefully be able to help offset the costs of the funeral and to put away some money for Khalil's future as both a scholar and an athlete.
