<div>My name is Victor Soto Sabando, and I’m reaching out today with a hopeful spirit. In July 2023, my brother, John Soto (Juan Pablo), was diagnosed with testicular cancer— a devastating shock for our family, as we have no history of cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shortly after his diagnosis he endured numerous rounds of chemotherapy and was able to come home after each day of chemo and be with his family. Despite the side effects the chemo made him feel he still continued to work when he could to keep the family business going. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, at his first follow-up appointment in April 2024, he was re-diagnosed with cancer, and the battle intensified.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He underwent four months of stem cell chemotherapy, requiring him to stay in hospital isolation for three weeks at a time for each round. The stem cell took him to hell and back and being unable to be with his family made the time even worse. 
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just recently John has undergone major surgery where doctors had to collapse one of his lungs to remove lymph nodes and tumors from his chest. Straight into ICU with a drain in his lung hopeful that he would recover quickly, two and a half weeks later with his lung not healing, we are now preparing for him to be transferred to another hospital for further treatment and another upcoming major surgery to remove more lymph nodes and tumors.

<div>This journey has been incredibly challenging, not only for John but for his loving wife, Jess, and their two young boys Ayden and Ethan. Jess has shouldered an immense burden — balancing work, managing countless medical appointments, and caring for their children — all while standing by John's side through every step of his battle.
</div>

<div>Despite everything, he continues to fight with immense courage and resilience. My brother has never been one to ask for help. He’s a proud, resilient man who has always been there for others, including me, whenever I needed support. Now, it’s my turn to be there for him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>John’s journey has been incredibly tough. Spending so much time in the hospital unable to work and keep the business going now places the family in a hard financial position with medical bills and a mortgage and unsure if they can remain in Sydney in the new year.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m asking for your support during this tough time. This help would mean the world to John, Jess, and their boys. Together, we can help ease the financial and emotional burden on their family and show them they’re not alone in this fight.
