Help Rockstars Go to World Series

Hello Rockstars Supporters!

The SF Rockstars is a softball team based in San Francisco, CA and has been a member of the San Francisco Gay Softball League since 2008. We are a part of the D-Division, recreational, and a member of NAGAA (North American Gay Athletic Alliance). Our team combines fun, athleticism, and positive camaraderie for LGBTQ men and women from all walks of life, as well as our fantastic supporters. Sponsored by the SF Edge bar in the Castro district of San Francisco, we practice and play throughout the regular softball season.


This year, for the first time ever, we have qualified for attendance and inclusion in the Gay Softball World Series, to be held in Austin, Texas, August 15-21! This is an incredible honor and it speaks to the successes we have had this season both on and off the field. We have come together to practice our skills, learn from each other, and play the best we can, resulting in being one of only three teams to attend from the D division!

We are excited to represent San Francisco and the greater Bay Area, compete for hardware, and celebrate the 40th anniversary of this event with thousands of other players from around the country.  But in  order to do that, we need your help! The cost for our team to go to the World Series in total is approx. $12,000, as we will need flights, lodging,  food, etc.  The team is committed to fundraising and is asking for support from local businesses,  corporate sponsors, individual team members and YOU! The goal of $12,000 is a big one, but NOT IMPOSSIBLE. You are our friends, family members, work colleagues, and community members. This is a rare opportunity to support all of the hard work and dedication our team has put in this year and we need you!

As an incentive for your generosity, donations between $50  - $149 will be recognized on our Facebook page  as a supporter. If you're able to donate $150 or more, in addition to recognizing you on Facebook, we will thank you by giving you an official SF Rockstars T-Shirt after the World Series concludes.
