Martha Frerichs Shackelford died peacefully on March 15, 2018 after a courageous 7 year battle against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. She was 57.

Martha's Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority sisters will always remember her beautiful smile, kindness, friendship, and the musical talent she shared each year during Rush as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz skit. This memorial fund has been established by her Kappa sisters to purchase a lasting remembrance of Martha at the Kappa house on the University of Nebraska campus. They will work together with her family and the Kappa house to designate the funds for a fitting memorial.
