Friends, Family, and Generous others, thank you for taking the time to read this.

For those of you who don't know me, I am Hannah Adams, a sophomore Colorado State University student majoring in journalism and double minoring in global environmental sustainability and sociology.

Right now, I'm attempting to exercise my passions to prepare for a life of impact. Gaining a global perspective is very high on my agenda and I believe it is a key component to great leadership and service.

This is why I will be going on the adventure of a lifetime and spending my next school year abroad.

I plan to participate in the University of Virginia's Semester at Sea program in the fall of 2014 where I will travel by ship to 16 countries in just one semester and not only have the opportunity to explore each destination, but also continue my undergraduate coursework while at sea. In addition, I plan to spend my spring 2015 semester abroad in France where I can experience complete cultural immersion, further develop my french language skills, take in a wonderful view of the French Riviera, and gain professional knowledge through an internship. All the details can be found here: http://www.ceastudyabroad.com/programs/france/sophia_antipolis.html



As a student, I am very high achieving and actively involved, as proven by maintaining a 3.8 GPA, blogging for student media, designing for the Rocky Mountain Collegian, volunteering my time with the football program, and attending meetings for our local Society of Professional Journalists chapter.

As an individual, I am always striving to be more and do better,  while making the most of my college experience. I am passionate about life, others, and the environment, which is why I frequently attend local panels and advocate for the change I believe in.

Projected tuition and fees for my year abroad reach around $50,000, which is why I need your help. I am diligently applying for scholarships, juggling two jobs, and will be working full time this summer to make this possible, but I cannot do this on my own.

I am taking a great leap of faith and trusting that God and the generosity of others will carry me through. Any assistance that you can offer would go a very long way.

I am seeking donations and sponsorships to aid me in this adventure. I am more than willing to advertise your products or business abroad, write pieces for a publication, or take pictures. I am also open to other suggestions or ideas.

Study abroad is so important to me and is an investent in my future. Believing in the value of this experience, and in the value I hold as an individual, would mean a tremendous amount to me.
