Seth, Kristin and Baby Boy Austin

No one can better describe the news learned just one week after the joyous shower depicted above for Baby Boy Austin's upcoming arrival, than his daddy and his grandma as expressed below:

Seth Austin (8/6/17):

Saturday morning Kristin and I went to the hospital to get something checked. While there the hospital wanted to do an ultra sound to check and make sure everything was okay with mom and baby. During the ultra sound the tech noticed something not right with baby's heart. Turns out that God brought us to the hospital and had an ultra sound done to reveal that our son has a heart defect. A defect that will require us to deliver in Charleston SC so that the heart specialist can do surgery on our baby. This is the same defect my little brother had, so it's a very scary situation for our family. We covet your prayers and support

Sissy J Austin (8/6/17)

Our family is in desperate need of your prayers. I would never in a million years have thought that we would be going through this again 26 years later to the month. There is nothing as torturous as watching your child hurt and know there is nothing you can do to fix it. It's breaking my heart! I would take his pain in a minute if I could. I don't understand all the whys or the purpose at this moment. But I do know that the same God who held me close all those years ago will hold my son and his wife too. Tetraology of Fallot means our grandson has 4 defects in his heart. The only way to fix it is with open heart surgery. Please, please, please keep us all in your prayers. Seth & Kristin are amazingly strong and truth be known are handling this so much better than I am. I am so proud of them both. The coming months will be hard but God's grace is sufficient. Please add us to your church's prayer list and any other prayer lists you know about.

As can be imagined, the bills for this grave condition will be monumental, not to mention loss of income, travel & lodging expenses, etc, etc, etc.  If, in addition to our prayers, we can provide this family with some financial relief, they can focus all of their attention on healing their sweet baby boy.

Bless you all for whatever you can do to help, but most importantly for your continued prayers.
