Service to Guatemala

John has an exciting opportunity to travel with a team of dentists to Guatemala in October (5th-10th). The dentists will be providing dental care in a facility there. John will be updating and repairing the existing dental equipment, and assisting the dentists as needed. He will be the only repair technician on this trip, so he will likely be very busy! John's boss has traveled with this group before, and John has been wanting to help for some time.

Because of the short notice, we will need to rely heavily on help from friends and family to cover expenses for this trip. We are responsible for our funding. $2000 is what is due to the group John is traveling with. That will cover his airfare, transportation in Guatemala, meals, and lodging. We also hoping to come up with an additional $1500 for lost wages during the 6 work days he will be gone, and extra expenses, such as passport renewal, etc. That is not as crucial, but would help make this trip less of a strain on our family.
