My name is kimberly kellner.I am 24 year old and living with limited disabilities, and  I am raising money to go towards the tranning an purchase of my future service dog!!!!

What’s My Diagnosis?
I started to experience symptoms at 14 that left me undiagnosed for 10 years. I have seen many specialist including neurologist, cardiologist, infection disease and hematologist. All there test came out normal .Not that long ago I saw a neurologist who finally gave me the diagnosis of (POTS) Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Its condition characterized by to little blood returning to heart when moving from laying down to standing up position (Orthostatic Intolerance). Orthostatic Intolerance causes lightheadedness or fainting that can be eased by laying back down.

I did see genesis that did whole genome sequence DNA test. The results show (Charcot-Marie-Tooth-Disease TYPE 4B3).A slowly progressive genetic condition that causes damage to the peripheral nerves, which are the nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord. They are over 40 different types of CMT but mine CMT 4b3 is so rare it’s almost none existence. Only 5 cases have been reported and both families live over sea. The symptoms that CMT type 4b3 causes is muscle weakness, paralyze of eye movements, loss of hand function, swallowing issues, muscle wasting, brain atrophy shrinking of the brain and  intellectual impairment ..Because so rare it’s hard to find doctors who is filmilar with type 4b3.

What can a service dog help me with?

A service dog can be trained to perform many task to help mitigate my symptoms including picking up dropped items, getting my medication, help me get up if I fall, getting help if needed and many more .I have low blood pressure and prone to presyncope/syncope episode all the time, but bending over or standing up increase the likelihood of my symptoms because of my muscle weakness .I’m prone to dropping things more than average person.

Having a dog to pick things up for me would help me mitigate my low blood pressure. Being able to walk across the room to get bottle of pain , nausea  medication seems like a simple task. But imagine not being able to due to extreme weakness and numbness in the legs. This situation can turn from mildly annoying to potential very serious. Having a dog task trained to get me medication, water, and even phone calls can make a difference. This is essential if I ever want to live on my own and be independent .It’s difficult for me to get balance. Having extra support going up stairs and walking is huge.

I set my goal of $2,000.The price of the dog will include registered/registerable ,current vaccinations, veterinarian examination ,health certificated and health guarantee. The dog will also have BEAR hearing test to be sure he can hear. For additional coast will include microchipped and shipping coast. Any money not including in purchase of dog will be use for advance tranning, service vest, initial vet bills, toys and everything else.

Thank you taking the time to read my story ,share and to donate so I can have a better life .
