Service dog for Emmie Brookins
Donation protected
In July of 2011 I was involved in a car accident that left me quadriplegic. Since then I have learned how to do some things on my own, but a service dog could help me regain much more independence. A service dog could help me by going to get help in emergency situations, opening doors, picking up dropped items, help reposition me after muscle spasms, and much more. Not only would the dog be a huge help with every day tasks, but it would be a great companion as well. My application was recently approved by the organization, Retrieving Independence, and I couldn’t be more excited. Unfortunately there are significant costs due to the amount of time and training put into each dog. I would greatly appreciate any donations to help me reach my goal so that I can begin this journey toward regaining some of my independence.
