Service Dog for Deb!

Meet Debbie O'Day, my wife, the love of my life and a strong woman with early onset and severe Osteoporosis and Spinal Stenosis. Deb has had 5 major surgical procedures and also minor procedures, too many to list, in just the past 5 years. Because of all of this, she also suffers from constant migraines and has been undergoing treatment for those as well. She has been unable to work the past 4.5 years.  We are blessed to have a super supportive family, but as you can imagine the medical expenses have been huge and they cannot continue to assist us to the level they have in the past. At this time, we have been looking into a Stability and Mobility Assist Animal. As with any service animal, training is very expensive and the dog has a list of requirements that it must fulfill. These requirements mean a large dog with a clean bill of health and a bone structure to match. After speaking with lots of breeders and trainers we are ready to move forward and now have to figure out how to pay for it. Between the costs of the dog, the training and the initial vet bills we expect to need around $15,000 and then have the continuing expenses of a large dog and continued training plus specially made gear as it grows.
