Service dog for Aliya

Hi my name is Aliya. I am eight years old and I'm trying to raise money for a service dog. Since I was three months old I've suffered from retractable epilepsy. I have tried several different medications (I am currently on 6) and two different operations. Despite it all, I still suffer from seizures daily. I can have anywhere from 1 to 30+ seizures a day. I would like a service dog for several reasons.  One reason, is that dogs trained for epilepsy, are trained to sense a seizure before it happens. This would help my family and I feel safe and confident, that I can get to a place safely and unharmed before a seizure occurs. Another reason, is to allow me to partcipate in activites that my family and other eight year olds do without the fear and danger of me getting hurt. This is because service dogs are trained to put their body between a seizing person and the floor or other objects to help prevent injuries. Because I do fall and hurt myself often, I also have to wear a helmet to help protect my head, which makes it so other kids look at me differently. They also tend to be standoffish and hesitant to play with me.  Service dogs help break the ice.  Most kids aren't scared of dogs and will come up to pet the animal giving me a chance to show them who I am and help them understand my disability.  I want to feel more confident, safe, do the things other kids are doing and have a chance to make friends. I know that a service dog will do all of that for me. Thank you for helping me get a life changing  4 pawed best friend.
