Service & Burial for Michael Myers

Michael Scott Myers 55 y.o. passed away on Friday, October, 27th at 3:30 P.M. He had been in the hospital since October 18th and was diagnosed with pnuemonia, DKA, and sepsis. He was extremely short of breath and agreed to be put on the ventilator. Shortley after the ventilator was placed he had a heart attack and healthcare workers did CPR for ten minutes before he came back. However, ten minutes without oxygen created very significant brain damage. He was still able to breath on his own because his brain stem was still intact. Other than that the EEG showed little to know brain waves. The family had to make very hard decisions and it all felt so unreal. He meant the world to me and was always there for me no matter what. He was my dad and mom for many years since my mom passed away when I was 8. He learned how to braid my hair and made sure I was at school and karate on time. What im saying is he went above and beyond to be my dad and mom (along with most of my friends "dad")  and to be a friend that did anything for his friends and family. I want to be able to give him the service and burial he deserves. Im trying to fullfill all of his wishes, but my family and I were unprepared for something like this especially since he was still young. All funds will go to Service, Burial, and Obituary and will be handled by Janie Myers.
