Harvey Floods: Servando & Arezou

Donation protected
As most people know, hurricane Harvey's flooding took everything from so many who call the Houston and surrounding areas home. With a heavy heart and in an effort to rebuild I am humbly starting this campaign on behalf of two of my best friends Arezou Rastegar and Servando Almaraz who are also co workers of mine and have unfortunately experienced Harvey's flooding at its worst. Their home is currently still under high water and has flooded and re-flooded numerous times since Saturday morning when they had to evacuate. When they were able to return to their home at The Pines on memorial drive today (Tuesday August 29) they had to walk through much of Memorial Drive which is still under approx. 3 feet of water and were met by several feet of water inside and surrounding their home, which may take days to fully drain back into buffalo bayou directly behind their community and both of their cars are also completely flooded. They were able to salvage only a few bags of their belongings from their home and it goes unsaid how devastating and life changing this loss is for their family. Unfortunately their insurance does not cover flooding or natural disasters like many others in this situation and it will take a lot for them to rebuild and be whole again. As we know many many more are suffering from this horrific tragedy, my husband Ulpiano and I are and will be doing all we can to help others on the road to piece their life and future back together and we encourage you to do the same. Their son Dylan, bless his heart, has been out lending his time and heart to the recovery of his neighbors and community ever since he's been able to leave his dads house which was thankfully not directly affected by the flooding; while Arezou and Servando have spent every waking minute trying to damage control essentially everything in their life.Once roads clear and and timing is appropriate we will re open the gym (Gracie Barra Westchase) which both Arezou and Servando have worked alongside us as family for the past 5 years (many students also consider them family) and we will be hosting fundraising events to help get them back on their feet in addition to this campaign. The main goal of this campaign is to show Arezou, Servando and their family that they will not have to journey this path of recovery alone and that they have an unwavering support group behind them. Please donate what you can and your donations will go directly 100% to their healing and recovery of what they've so suddenly lost. Please feel free to contact me if you have any ideas or can offer any support to fundraising events for this cause. If you have any material items to donate you may drop at their offices at Gracie Barra westchase 2610 Fondren road 77063.Thank you to all those who have already lent their helping hand to Arezou and Servando words cannot describe how grateful they've been for the support.Ulpiano and I would like to start this campaign with our own donation. God bless those effected by this horrific tragedy.
