Serious Clowns is an independant company, looking for ways to create visual performance installations to present to public mainly on the streets and in site specific locations. We are open to all possibility of creating visual moments that the public can observe.
Our sources of inspiration comes from transforming objects found in abandoned factories, old furniture, rubbish left in the street, fairytales, science fiction, comedian delarte, installations that can be a playground!!
Being an independant company we are not funded by any source whatsover, our reinvestment into our work comes from the money we make at mainly street theatre festivals in europe and abroad, it is extreme and tyring work but we believe that we bring imagination and excitement to all ages of people, and consider street theatre a way to reach people with not the possibility or want to go to see shows in a conventional theatre.
The main purpose of our asking for support is for our project that we are developing in 2018, The Tower, about a clown that is abandoned on this planet and seaks a reason to exist, eventually trying to leave in search of a new beginning!
The funding we are applying for will support us to develop a new tower that we will use as the main object of the show. It will help to cover half of the cost that we need to raise.
Any support will be hugely appreciated and be very helpfull in our continuation in bringing the streets alive to persons of all ages.
