Serenity Dawn Allen was a senior at Waverly High School. She was an active member of the Waverly Marching Band and also involved in Girl Scouts. She enjoyed art, music and anime. She was a light in the lives of many and would always be willing to help a friend or family member in need. She struggled with depression and overcoming her anxiety. She lost this battle on September 6, 2019 at her home in Lansing, MI.She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She has left a Serenity sized hole in all our hearts.
No family is ever prepared to lose a child. Instead of figuring out how to pay for band trips and prom and college, Serenity's family must figure out how to pay for a funeral and burial. This beautiful family is large in love and small on funds. It is our heartfelt hope that this fabulous community will support the Allen and Wilke families and help to ease their burden by contributing to this fund to pay for all the many costs involved with saying farewell to this beloved child.
