<div>Jako Polacy w Wielkiej Brytanii mamy zaszczyt uhonorować ś.p. Danutę Siedzikównę fundując pierwsze na Zachodzie „Serce dla Inki” i umieścić je w kościele Chrystusa Króla na Balham w Londynie.

<div>„Serce dla Inki” to akcja mająca na celu upamiętnienie Danuty Siedzikówny ps. Inka, 17-letniej sanitariuszki 5. Wileńskiej Brygady AK, zamordowanej przez komunistów 28 sierpnia 1946 roku w piwnicy więzienia przy ul. Kurkowej w Gdańsku. Przed egzekucją była brutalnie torturowana.

<div>Inka do ostatnich chwil pozostała niezłomna. Jej słowa: „Niech żyje Polska!” – wypowiedziane tuż przed śmiercią – stały się jednym z najpiękniejszych świadectw miłości do Ojczyzny.

<div>Ogólnopolska akcja „Serce dla Inki” została zainicjowana przez ks. Jarosława Wąsowicza, historyka i salezjanina, autora publikacji o „Ince”. „Inka stała się ikoną całego pokolenia, które po 1945 roku nie złożyło broni i walczyło z komunistyczną okupacją Polski. Kiedy odnaleziono jej grób, wziąłem garść ziemi, by upamiętnić ją w jakimś salezjańskim dziele. I tak się zaczęło” – powiedział duchowny portalowi British Poles.

<div>W sumie odsłonięto już 27 tablic z sercami, z czego 2 w Wilnie, jednak jak dotąd żadnej innej poza granicami Polski.

<div>Przez wiele lat Inka nie miała własnego grobu. Jej szczątki zostały odnalezione na Cmentarzu Garnizonowym w Gdańsku przez zespół IPN pod kierunkiem prof. Krzysztofa Szwagrzyka. Uroczysty pogrzeb z honorami państwowymi odbył się 28 sierpnia 2016 roku, w obecności Prezydenta RP.

<div>Warto zaznaczyć, że w każdym sercu umieszczana jest odrobina ziemi z grobu Inki.

<div>Środki zebrane ze zbiórki zostaną przekazane na srebrne Serce dla Inki, przygotowanie marmurowej płyty i pracę grawera, a także transport Serca z Polski. Potencjalna nadwyżka zostanie przeznaczona na Parafię.
