Hi, my name is Melanie Nakuan.

I'm from Angoram, Sepik River and graduated from Brandi Highschool, Wewak Papua New Guinea.

My family live a subsistence life with no means to help me with my progress to University, which I long to do.

I want to study General Nursing and have a dream to later study medicine, to become a doctor.

Chris Boylan and Geoff Carey know my family well and had developed a strong relationship with my family, especially my Grandfather and Father over many years. This was in the years when Paulian New Guinea Arts (started by Roy Boylan, Chris's father) operated.

With your generous financial support, I would like to apply for a 3-year 'General Nursing' course at the Divine Word University in Wewak in 2025 at a cost of AU$15,000.
