Sensory pod and sensory space

Please HELP our school to raise funds for a great cause! We are aiming to purchase a Sensory Pod to make our school more inclusive and beneficial to those pupils who struggle with autism, ADHD, sensory issues and anxiety.

 

The Pod will offer a calming and interactive safe space for children in school who need it, so your help to raise funds for this valuable piece of equipment will be appreciated !

 

We ideally need £10,000 for the Sensory Pod and all of it’s amazing features, such as the padded vibrating mattress for sensory support, wipeable mattress, foam steps and weighted blankets.

School are also requiring an additional £10,000 to create a Sensory space to house the sensor pod and offer school a designated area  which can support pupil’s sensory preferences and needs.  By having a dedicated space, we feel it will provide pupils with the individualised sensory input they need to self-regulate, so they can be better prepared for learning and interacting with others in school. 

The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) 2021, state that a sensory space addresses the primary senses; sight, hearing, smell, touch, vestibular and proprioceptive.  School want a calm space and multi-sensory room which will benefit our pupils both now and over the longer term.  This sensory pod/space will be the difference for children that really counts!
