Madison Park Academy Senior Events

We attend Madison Park Academy, a public school in Oakland California and this year we will be the second graduating class. With a class of 68 seniors and little to no financial support from our school, it’s been difficult planning events such as prom and other senior related events most high school students experience during their last year in high school. Because Oakland Unified School District, our district, is currently in debt with over $37 million, this eliminates our opportunities of receiving money to fund events. Given our situation we are reaching out to people and organizations in this platform to consider helping us with anything possible. We believe that having the opportunity to make these events possible will strengthen our personal relationship and unity with each other. We have been together since middle school, so we definitely want our departure to be something special and memorable. If we were to raise enough money everything would go towards activities the senior committee has planned out over the past months. We will do our best to make graduation night (a trip to disneyland), prom, decision day (a day where we celebrate the colleges we will be attending the upcoming year), senior banquet (a nice get together with our families to celebrate our last moments together), and other activities the best we can. Because we are short on time, the money would be needed as soon as possible. You don’t understand how grateful all us would be if we were able to receive help from any of you. Our advisor who is helping us with this process, is Camille Crane, a teacher who has supported more than with our math needs.

Nosotros atendemos Madison Park Academy, una escuela pública en Oakland California y este año nosotros seremos la segunda clase graduada. Con una clase de 68 estudiantes y poquito a nada de apoyo financiero siendo dado por nuestra escuela, ha sido difícil planeando eventos cómo prom y otros eventos relacionados a la clase del grado 12 como la mayoría de otras escuelas secundarias o colegios experiencan durante su último año. Porque nuestro distrito escolar, Oakland Unified School District, de hoy en día está en deuda con más de $37 millones, esto elimina nuestras oportunidades de recibiendo dinero para proveer fondos para nuestros eventos. Dando nuestra situación, estamos llegando a personas y organizaciones por esta plataforma para que consideren ayudarnos con lo que sea posible. Nosotros creemos que teniendo la oportunidad para hacer estos eventos posibles, fortalecerá nuestra relación personal y unidad entre uno y él otro. Hemos estados juntos desde la escuela intermedia (6-8), entonces definitivamente queremos que nuestra salida sea algo especial y memorable. Si fueramos a recaudar suficiente dinero, todo hiria a las actividades que el comité del grado 12 ha planeado en los últimos meses. Nosotros haremos lo mejor que podamos para hacer nuestra noche de graduación (un viaje a Disneylandia), prom, Él Dia de Decisiones (un día donde celebramos las universidades donde estaríamos atendiendo el año que viene), Él Banquete (una fiesta con nuestras familias para celebrar nuestros últimos momentos juntos), y otras actividades lo mejor que podamos. Porque estamos corto de tiempo, el dinero seria necesitado lo más pronto posible. No entienden cuan agradecidos todos nosotros estuvieramos si pudieramos recibir ayuda de cualquier de ustedes! Nuestra tutora que nos esta ayudando con este proceso, es Camille Crane, una maestra que nos a apoyado con mas que matematicas.
