Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon

It’s that time of year and people are gearing up for the holidays. My nana has always instilled in me to help others and pay it forward. When she decided she wanted to do something for our local seniors I was like count me in.
On Nov 16 which is also my nana 64th birthday we would like to host 300 seniors in our city to a Thanksgiving luncheon.
Some of our seniors are without families and alone so we hope this luncheon will give them a chance to enjoy some quality togetherness along with a good hot meal.
It is our hope that we will not only provide them with a full hot thanksgiving meal and fellowship but a gift box with a turkey and all the trimmings to take home so they can have for Thanksgiving day as well.
We will also have fun games, speakers and just a day to show them how they appreciated and loved. And a few surprises because it is my Nana bday!!!
Our goal is to purchase 300 turkeys with the trimmings for the gift boxes along with a prepared hot meal as well.
In additon, seniors who are shut in and unable to make it to the luncheon my nana and I will drop off plates and a gift box to them too!!!
All proceeds donated will go towards the hot meal, a venue, purchase of door prizes and games and food gift boxes.
