Mechanical Engineering Senior Project, University of the Pacific
Self Operated Electric Wake Skate Winch
Objective: To design and manufacture an electric motorized winch system with added safety features for a single person to operate for the purpose of wakeskating and/or other watersports.

We are all senior mechanical engineering undergraduate students at University of the Pacific. The winch is being developed as part of our engineering design (senior project) course to complete our B.S. degrees. This spring we have moved past our initial design and analysis phase and our now beginning to manufacture and program our winch system; set to be completed and showcased by May 2nd, where all other senior project groups, across all disciplines, will also be showcasing their projects. There, the design competition will be judged and a winner will be selected. Any and all guests are welcome to attend this event, at University of the Pacific.
Funding will be used to purchase necessary components to fabricate the winch. Extra funding may be required to purchase back-up parts and/or new parts to replace broken ones.
