Senior Airman Metsker Charity Fund

Our son Steven joined the Air Force in 2014.  He went into Security Forces after graduating tech school in San Antonio, TX.  His first duty station was Minot, ND, from there he went to South Korea and finally on to Belgium.

While on his way to work on 02/01/18 he hit black ice and was in a fatal car accident.  We have been asked by many people how to help.  We have decided to take up a collection to help a couple different charities in Stevens name.   We have decided we want to help the Idaho Humane Society and The Air Force Enlisted Village.

Steven was an animal lover and donated his time to help clean kennels and walk dogs at the animal shelter in Minot, ND .  While in South Korea he helped with the Korean American Partnership.  This was a program to help children, the elderly and overall beautification of the community.  Steven's giving back to the community started long before he joined the Air Force.  While growing up in Boise, he did several volunteering activities with his family.  He spent his time sorting food at the Idaho Food Bank,  picking up trash at the Shakespeare theater, and cooking hot dogs for fundraisers at the Boise Zoo just to name a few.

So, we are requesting in lieu of flowers to help us raise money for these charities in his name.
