Helping Children in India

Donation protected
We are students from Western Washington University passionate about helping children on the autism spectrum in a developing country. In December, we sent toys and therapeutic equipment to Adarsh Charitable Trust, a rehab center for children with developmental delays in Kerala, India. This June, we plan to help hands-on by building a community garden, expanding their medical and therapeutic libraries, and working with the children in academic and vocational training specific to their needs.

In this part of India, it is very difficult to find therapeutic toys specific to children with autism, the majority of suppliers being in the U.S. or U.K. We are pleased to say that we have succeeded in sending these crucial toys and equipment to the clinic, and are now working on traveling there to help hands-on.
