Mission Trip to Zambia

Hey y’all!
My name is Satchel Burton and I am a Senior at a small college in Indiana. God has recently begun a new and exciting work in my life. After taking a local Spring Break Mission trip, I learned the importance of serving as the hands and feet of Christ’s ministry. The trip also illuminated that there are many who have not heard the good news of the Gospel. This convicted me to take advantage of God’s blessings in my life and reach out to those who are in need of help and Christ. In May, I have the opportunity to travel to Zambia and share the Word with those living in various communities and tribes in the country. I will be a part of a team of 6 men and women, organized by the Church@Main in Brownsburg, IN, who will be serving alongside African missionaries and national leaders to accomplish the following goals:
· Work with 4 different church plants in several cultural settings (established city, rural city, bush, and tribal lands)
-Provide relief to missionaries and national leadership by assisting in preaching, teaching Sunday School, Youth Classes, and organizing church outreach events.
-Doing evangelism walks throughout the villages.
-Provide training for national workers and missionaries.
· Work/Observe in different cultural settings
-Some potentials might include orphanages, medical clinics, schools, and other non-profits.
By accomplishing these goals and attending the trip: I will better comprehend how God is moving around the world, learn how to best support global missionaries, and further my faith and understanding of how God may use me.
The trip will begin May 10th and we will return to the United States May 30th. In order to make this mission possible, I will need to raise $2,500 dollars for travel and living expenses while in Zambia. You can help make this Mission possible!
· You can be involved by seeking God’s direction in helping me financially. Any financial support would be greatly appreciated.
· You can also pray for me and the team and that God will prepare me, each team member, and also Southern Africa spiritually for our visit. Also, pray that God will provide financially for our trip.
