Missions Trip to Honduras

Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you already know, I will be going on a missions trip to Honduras this summer! My friend Bethany told me about her past internship in this country and I was completely blown away by all of the stories she had just told me. It did not even occur to me that I could go on this trip with her until a few days later when she asked if I was interested. After praying about it, talking it out with my parents, and looking over the information, I felt called to go on this life-changing trip and help those in need out there! As I finish up my second year of college, God has been teaching me and leading me in ways I could not have imagined. I am attending Grand Canyon University and my passion is to get my degree in Health Care Administration in hopes to use that on the mission field. This will be my very first mission trip and I am beyond excited to serve and share the love of Jesus with them.
Bethany is the leader of our team through an organization called World Gospel Outreach (WGO). While in Honduras, we will be working alongside the doctors and nurses and doing medical clinics. Our services will include giving medical, dental and optical care, providing concrete floors to families that live on dirt floors, washing children’s hair, and evangelism. For many, this is the only access to medical care that they have, and in the past, many people have walked for days just to get care.
One of the biggest ways I could use support is through your prayers. Please pray for travel mercies and good health. I would also ask that you pray for the people being served and that their hearts would be receptive to the work we will be doing. My desire is for the love of Jesus to shine through me for all to see. Finally, I could use your prayers for financial provision. The cost for this internship is $1950, which includes funds for airfare, housing, dental supplies, concrete floor, meals, and the medical stations. If you feel led to give financially, that would be a huge blessing to me! This trip will be from May 26th-June 3rd, however, I do have payments due starting in March!
