Study Dance In Berlin!

Hi! I'm Majesty Janay! I am a third-year Dance student at University of the Arts in Philadelphia where I am a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I'm Virginia born and Durham, NC raised; an American Dance Festival tuition scholarship recipient. I have been accpted as a guest student to the HZT (Inter-University Center for Dance) in Berlin for April-July (2018)! This is an amazing opportunity because HZT does not normally do guest studentships with the United States and this could potentially build a bridge between HZT and UArts for future student exchanges. For this trip I am financially responsible for my housing and flight and that's why I need your help! While at HZT, I will be deepening my investigation into solo practice which I began as a faculty assistant to choreographer and maker, Jesse Zaritt (ADF 2017). I am excited to be influencd by the culture, politics, and complex histories of a place other than the U.S. and be informed differently in my artmaking.
