Kelsey was an amazing young woman, whose life reached and touched everyone she came in contact with. Her short life had more impact than most of us have in a lifetime. She was quick to forgive, to love well and deeply. She fought for justice for man and animal alike. All it took was one encounter, and she won your heart.

Kelsey was a visionary, she could see in ways that most only can imagine. Kelsey was an entrepreneur, she constantly had ideas bouncing between her ears.

Kelsey was a musician and song writer...we have notebooks and "notes" on her computer from all the things she was mulling over in her heart. She recorded from both the piano and her guitar...she wrote about love, passion, her beloved Jesus, life...

Kelsey loved and believed in Children. Not the puppet, entertained child, but the wild and free child that run with the One who creates the wind. Her heart was to set them free to be all that their Father made them to be.

Kelsey had the ability to see past the humanity in people and call out the gold and beauty from within. A gift to all who crossed her path.

Kelsey loved animals. She was a dog whisperer, and was able to quickly help others in their relationship with their pets, with suggestions, training ideas, food and treatment...she was so passionate about animals.

Kelsey was a warrior. She fought through sickness and disease with valor and relentless trust in the One who numbered her days...many who came to "pray" for her left having been ministered to by the love Kelsey carried from a source that never ran dry.

Kelsey donated her body to further the research into understanding autoimmune disease. Even in death, she gave.

She was our daughter, our baby, our Kelsaroo. Even in her passing, she was trying to care for us and our hearts. She was a sister to her two amazing brothers. Her "boys" were of the highest priority in her heart...she loved them so deeply and freely.

Here is her exhortation to us, left behind. One of her last entries on her phone's notes...

I’m sorry for the pain I’ve caused... the pain I know I will bring
You said it’s worth it, I was worth any pain
Just to hear my laugh and see my face...
so don’t you cry now, don’t waste those tears on me
I'm finally free, I’m finally free
We will only be apart for such a short time...
don’t cry for me... oh don’t cry for me...

Remember the good, remember the laughs,
Remember the sass that kept me going
Remember the love we shared, the victories we had...
We did this together, we survived this war, we didn’t give in nor give up, and now we’ve won...

So don’t cry for me... don’t cry for me...

Kelsey were are crying for you. But rejoicing that you are free!
We love you Kelsaroo!
