Emily's Royal Dramatic Academy Trip

As many of you know I've been performing since I was a young child. It is my joy in life. I've known for a long time that I wanted my future professional life to be on stage. I have been preparing with every dance recital, show choir performance, musical, dramatic play and song I perform. I pushed myself to graduate high-school in three years so that I could get to college last August at Sonoma State University and begin my degree in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Acting. I was cast in my first Opera, made the Dean's list and declared a Minor in Music my first semester. I believe with determination, a plan and a lot of hard work, I can live my dream.
This winter break I was encouraged to apply to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. They have a summer intensive program in August of 2015. Incredible actors such as Sir Anthony Hopkins and Alan Rickman, just to name a couple, are alumni of the academy.
Despite my hesitation, I submitted my application. I was over the moon when I was notified of my acceptance to the program. This is truly an opportunity of a lifetime. I promise to work hard, learn everything I can from the directors, mentors, culture and experience. It is with this promise in mind that I ask for your assistance in helping me reach my financial fundraising goal. This program and travel expenses are a bit out of my league as a college student. It would be with my most heartfelt gratitude that I thank you for whatever you are able to contribute to my cause.
