<div>Hi, I’m Annie—thank you for being here.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Representing Canada has been one of the greatest honours of my life, and I now have the opportunity to do it again in a new sport.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve been selected for the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1460935689408881" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Canadian National Deaf Golf Team</a> and will be competing at the<a href="https://wdgc2026.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">World Deaf Golf Championships</a> in Barsebäck, Sweden this August.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sport has always played a major role in my life. I previously represented Canada internationally in volleyball, competing at a high level for many years. That experience shaped my discipline, resilience, and identity as an athlete.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Golf had always been around, but it wasn’t until 2021 that I fully committed to the game—and it quickly became a passion. It challenged me in completely different ways and pushed me to grow both mentally and physically.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, I’ve earned the opportunity to represent Canada again—this time in golf. Competing at the World Deaf Golf Championships is both exciting and challenging, and I’m determined to give it everything I have.
