Send your support to aid Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Here is the heart wrenching story of Kelly Chow, who suffered deeply from Irritable Bowel Syndrome and why she created the website in her venture to help others who suffer from this same debilitating illness.  Her website has been parked and dormant since 2013 after being run for 7 years at her own cost, to try to spread the needed knowledge to reverse IBS, as doctors have no cure for this ailment and simply told to just 'manage' their stress and symptoms. Kelly is looking to raise funds, so she can bring the website out of dormancy, have the site mobile friendly, and start partnering with alternative health practitioners and communities to devise programs which can help bring IBS suffers' symptoms into remission. Her goal is to make this planet, free of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and allow every sufferer to again live a life of normalcy and free of health problems.

Kelly's sad story: I have suffered from IBS for a total of 4 years. I first encountered my IBS symptoms when I was at the age of 24 and I have had major-to-severe symptoms. These include nausea, diarrhea (IBS-D, others can have IBS-C Constipation), stomach discomfort/pain, loud gut gurgling, incontinence, head fog, depression, ear ringing, etc. I was in constant agony and depression due to the combination of symptoms I had to endure every single day.

I attended many clinics, saw many doctors including a GI specialist, and performed all sorts of tests; blood work, urine samples, multiple xrays, barium enema, colonoscopy and upper GI endoscopy. The GI specialist had came to the conclusion that I was suffering from a condition called Irritable Bowel Syndrome also known as IBS.

I was told by my doctors that it is an incurable condition and that it was best for me to learn how to manage my stress levels. My optimistic outlook on life came to a grinding halt and my stomach sank in disbelief. I was not impressed at all to hear that this condition is incurable since the symptoms I had to deal with, were too severe to handle on a permanent basis.

I carried on living with this IBS condition, however my symptoms were not improving by simply managing my stress levels. I then decided that I could not live on like this so I decided to seek treatment from conventional to alternative medication. I seeked all types of therapies and some of them worked well and others did not.

I understand that every IBS sufferer has a range of different debilitating symptoms and most sufferers need dedicated personal counsel which is currently lacking by our medical system. Many need the one-on-one help to guide them and support them in their journey to remission. This will require a team of health practitioners and IBS trained emotional assistants, to help relieve their symptoms, ease their emotions, and encourage the steps required to reverse this ailment and stop the vicious circle that often this ailment can create. This vicious circle involves an endless cycle of emotional anxiety, symptom flare-ups, followed by more anxiety.

I seek to dedicate my full being, to assemble the team I require and partner with health care providers globally, to provide the training they require, to properly educate IBS suffers and lead them to a road of recovery instead of telling them the almost life-ending news, that it is incurable.

I stand confident and strong with the help of everyone who hears my voice, to provide me with the financial means, to assist in this journey to facilitate the means of being by the side of every IBS sufferer, providing them the education, resources and services to slowly heal their gut day by day, until not one single human on earth is needlessly suffering and hiding from others due to the embarrassing symptoms it often carries.
