Hello Melismaddicts! We have been granted an amazing opportunity this year to open for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall in New York City! Our group has been working tremendously hard over the past few years to improve our sound quality and musical range, thus creating a brand to market ourselves beyond the Lehigh Valley. Our group is very ambitious with a lot of goals this year, including Radio City, but our biggest obstacle to overcome is funding.
We are the Lehigh Melismatics, a student-run, student-funded group who prides itself on putting out a product that is fully created by us. We are located out of Lehigh University, in Bethlehem, PA. Our business, choreography, and most importantly, the music, is all done by our passionate student members.
In order to perform at Radio City in December, we are required to sell 50 tickets at $105 each. With appropriate funding, we will be opening for the highly-regarded Christmas Spectacular (with the Rockettes), showcasing our group in front of thousands of people. This is an amazing opportunity not only to perform in New York, but also to present the talents of our Lehigh community on one of the biggest stages in New York City. We would proudly represent Lehigh through our music and passion. This would also put our group on the map by opening us up to other opportunities, such as recording, tours, and competitions. We have been invited to do this amazing performance, and have a lot of great things lined up for this year, but being a student-run organization, the one drawback is a lack of funding from our university.
What we ask of you, our Lehigh Mels family, is a donation of any size, to make this dream a reality. With every $105 you donate, you’ll be guaranteed a ticket to our Radio City performance on December 1st at 7:30 PM. Just send an email to [email redacted] with some form of verification! We promise to come back from this opportunity with the experience to propel us towards the musical excellence we strive for, possibly through our 4th studio album...but we'll just have to wait and see!

LIABILITY
Any amount under or over the specified $105 will be treated as a donation to the group, and we will put it toward concerts, events, and materials for our members. The person managing withdrawals will be the current Business Manager, Isaiah Morales. The money will be withdrawn into a personal bank account so that it may then be given directly to Radio City for ticket purchasing, and then any excess will be deposited into the Lehigh-managed Melismatics Club Fund.
