TG Mock Trial Nationals Fundraiser

Hello! My name is Sara Hathaway and I am the captain of Toll Gate High School’s Mock Trial Team. We won all of our trials during the regular season and came in second in the state. The Wheeler School prevailed in the State Championship, and they stand as the state champion, but will not be going to nationals and this is why we have the opportunity to go to the National High School Mock Trial Competition in Reno, Nevada, which is quite far from home. Our experience at nationals would be life-changing and formative, allowing us to expand our perspectives on the legal system, challenge ourselves on a higher level of competition, and represent Rhode Island. A few years ago, this would have seemed unreachable, but now, it is within our grasp. Our trip will cost around $8,000 including the registration fees, flights, lodging, and transportation. Without the proper funds, this dream will not become a reality. As a public school, it will be difficult to raise this money, so we are asking for donations to help fund this incredible opportunity.
