Send St. Therese Singers to NCYC
Three talented young singers from St. Therese Catholic Church in Deephaven, MN have been selected to sing at the 2017 National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis from November 16-18, 2017. Sixteen young people have been invited to sing in the conference choir and we are thrilled that Astrid, Clare, and Emil are among them! This speaks volumes about the commitment St. Therese has made to nurture the musical talents and faith of its young people! 
In a time when many young people are abandoning their faith, Astrid, Clare, and Emil are embracing theirs. They need our prayers and financial support as they embark on their journey to sing and lead prayer in front of 23,000 of their peers at Lucas Oil Stadium in November!
What is NCYC?
In a distinctly Catholic setting, the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) invites participants to encounter Christ, experience Church, and be empowered for discipleship.
Every other year, Catholic young people and their chaperones—youth ministers, campus ministers, parents, catechists, priests, coaches, and scout leaders—come together to pray, learn, and grow in their faith. In addition to opportunities to receive the sacraments of the Eucharist and penance, NCYC participants attend general and breakout sessions on topics relevant to living as a disciple of Christ in today's world, visit with organizations that provide resources and other support to youth and youth ministry, spend time in personal and communal prayer, and engage in service to others. Astrid and Clare had the opportunity to be part of the 2015 NCYC and this year they are excited to share that experience with Emil!

These young people need your support!
Choir members are responsible for covering the cost of travel to a rehearsal weekend in Nashville and for travel to Indianapolis in November along with some of their meals. (Current airfare is between $525-$625 for each event and we have ballparked a meal per diem at $50 per day for five days in November.)
Astrid, Clare, and Emil need to secure their spots in the choir by August 29 and are asking for your financial support. If you are unable to provide financial assistance, please pray for them and be assured of their prayers for you.
The conference general sessions will be live-streamed so mark your calendars now and join Astrid, Clare and Emil when they take the stage and sing in Indianapolis in November!
