Send St. Johns Slam team to CUPSI

For the very first time, St.John’s University will be sending a team to represent them at CUPSI (College Union Poetry Slam Invitational), an annual poetry slam event. We will be travelling to Philadelphia this year to compete and perform original poetry we have written and choreographed. This year’s team is comprised of 5 talented and dedicated spoken word artists, Jaymi, Faye, Tom, James, and Chevon headed by their coach Sore Agbaje.


We are a diverse group of student leaders who hope to share our talents on this international stage, however we cannot get there without your support.


With your help we can do the following:

Registration Fee for CUPSI
Travel into Philadelphia
Hotel/Lodging
Coach fees

We are so eager to get to CUPSI this year, after months of preparation, team building, and organizing. We appreciate donations in any amount as it gets us closer to our goal!

Every year a poetry slam event called CUPSI (College Union Poetry Slam Invitational) takes place. At this event poetry slam teams from all across the country travel to this event in order to perform/compete with the original poetry that the teams have written and choreographed. However, because we need to pay for many expenses during our trip, we need to fundraise in order for us to be able to compete at this event. We will need to pay for the following:

-Hotel/Lodging

-Food

-Payment for the team’s coach


Everyone on the team this year is very eager to go to CUPSI this year. We all would appreciate any amount that is donated, for it will all help us. We all want to share our art with the world and helping us with paying for our trip will greatly help us.
